Healthcare Assistant – 25 – 30 hours per week (over 4 – 5 days)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for us to recruit a new Healthcare Assistant to our Practice team.

We are a high achieving, forward thinking and well organised teaching Practice. The team consists of 9 partners, 6 salaried GP’s, an ACP, a Practice Pharmacy Team, Practice Based Physiotherapist, 8 nurses and HCA’s and a capable and competent administration support team.

The Practice aims to deliver high quality care to 17,500 patients, using SystmOne. We work from a purpose-built surgery, hosting an extensive range of extended services. As a training practice, there is an active undergraduate and post graduate teaching programme in place. We are part of the Rushcliffe PCN and are a high achieving Practice with full QoF and local enhanced service achievements.

Knowledge and ability of taking blood pressure, ECG recording, flu, pneumonia, B12 injections, lifestyle/dietary advice, dressings and phlebotomy are essential. You should be a calm and reliable person, have strong communication skills, be able to uphold confidentiality principles at all times, be computer literate and be comfortable working under pressure.

Receptionist – 20 – 37.5 hours per week

We are looking to recruit a friendly person to join our reception team. You must have a good telephone manner and interpersonal skills. You need to be IT literate, enthusiastic, have self-motivation and be able to operate in a team environment. Previous medical reception experience is desirable, but not essential, training will be provided. 

You will be responsible for receiving, assisting and directing patient enquiries, signposting to the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.

You will provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and visitors, either in person or via the telephone.

Should you be successful with your application we will need a minimum of two references covering a five-year employment period. Usually, the two references would be from your current and previous employer. We also require a satisfactory DBS check to be completed before you can start your employment.

Medical Secretary – 20 – 37.5 hours per week

Castle Healthcare Practice has an exciting opportunity for a Medical Secretary to join our friendly, GP Practice based in West Bridgford, Nottingham.

We are a high achieving, forward thinking and well organised teaching Practice.  The team consists of 9 partners, 6 salaried GP’s and 9 Nurses/HCA’s and an extensive Administrative Support Team. The Practice aims to deliver high quality care to 17,500 patients, using SystmOne.  We work from a purpose-built surgery hosting an extensive range of extended services. As a training practice, there is an active undergraduate and post graduate teaching programme in place. We are part of the Rushcliffe PCN and are a high achieving Practice with full QoF and local enhanced service achievements.

We are looking to recruit a Medical Secretary on a permanent part time/full time basis covering a variety of days Monday – Friday, dependant on the hours that you wish to work.

Duties will include:

Generating NHS and private referrals and associated admin.

Dealing with enquiries from patients and other medical professionals

The role of the Medical Secretary can at times, be very demanding and varied, so we are looking for someone who will be able to maintain focus in a busy working environment.  We are looking for a confident and experienced typist, who has excellent communication skills both written and verbal, is highly organised and good at multi-tasking.

Practice Nurse – 1 or 2 days per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for us to recruit a new Practice Nurse to our Practice team.

We are a high achieving, forward thinking and well organised teaching Practice. The team consists of 9 partners, 6 salaried GP’s, an ACP, a Practice Pharmacy Team, Practice Based Physiotherapist, 8 nurses and HCA’s and a capable and competent administration support team.

The Practice aims to deliver high quality care to 17,500 patients, using SystmOne. We work from a purpose-built surgery, hosting an extensive range of extended services. As a training practice, there is an active undergraduate and post graduate teaching programme in place. We are part of the Rushcliffe PCN and are a high achieving Practice with full QoF and local enhanced service achievements.

Knowledge of immunisations, smears and long term conditions, such as; diabetes, COPD, asthma, heart disease and hypertension is essential. 

You should understand the need for maintaining patient confidentiality at all times, be computer literate, be able to proactively seek positive outcomes for patients and the practice, be confident working independently or as part of a team and have knowledge of QOF and clinical governance factors.
